Staff Promotions at Future Hope

May 2010

Shounak Lahiri has been promoted to Director Future Hope (India).  Shounak joined Future Hope in November 2008 and has been Director of Homes until now. 

Mark Lewis joined Future Hope in February 1999.  He was just 21 and had been running a factory in a tea garden.  He started off as assistant houseparent.  He then ran the stores for a while before taking on the greater responsibility of overseeing the maintenance of properties, along with managing the catering and other auxiliary staff.

When he arrived at Future Hope he had no experience with children but he is now Director of Homes, taking care of the pastoral welfare of the children and overseeing the training and development of the houseparents.

Mark is married to Nicola and they have a 5 year old son Macaulay.

Mark (top left) is also manager of Future Hope Harlequins Rugby Club.
